What is happening between Morris Bank and Pinnacle Bank?
The two banks are combining to create a leading Georgia community bank named Vallant Bank. Vallant represents a true partnership, allowing the combined bank to perform at a continuing high level of service while offering products and services desired by customers. Plus, you will continue to see the same familiar faces in your favorite locations.
Where are the Vallant Bank branches currently located?
Please find our locations map above.
Will teams be affected?
The Pinnacle Bank and Morris Bank markets do not overlap, allowing the new bank to retain existing locations and teams.
Will my account numbers change?
The majority of accounts will keep the same number. There is a small group of customers from both banks with duplicate accounts. We will contact this group personally to resolve the issue.
Will I need new checks?
We recommend getting new checks as soon as you can. Obtain a discount in-branch, beginning June 15. There will be a discount of $25 for personal checks and $50 for business checks for a limited time.
What is Vallant Bank’s routing number?
The routing number for checking accounts is 061101294.
Will Vallant Bank have ATMs at all locations?
There will be ATMs at all branch locations and a stand-alone ATM at Gordon, GA. Soon after June 15, new ATMs will be installed, allowing you to choose your desired monetary denominations.
Will I receive a new Debit Card?
Yes. The week of June 1, customers will begin receiving the new Vallant Bank Debit Card. You can begin using it on Saturday, June 13, so please destroy your current card at that time.
Am I notified if fraud is suspected on my Vallant Bank Visa Debit Card?
Yes, and it’s FREE! When you have a Debit Card for your account, it is automatically enrolled in our Fraud Alert Service.
Our Fraud Center monitors transactions for potentially fraudulent activity. When a questionable transaction appears, they will attempt to contact you first through a text message and then a phone call. Make sure we always have your up-to-date contact information.
If I have a question regarding my account, will I be able to contact my local banking office?
Yes, you will still be able to contact your local branch by phone at 888.272.5202.
I have direct deposit set up as well as automatic drafts. Will I need to notify the sender or recipients of the changes to Vallant Bank?
Vallant Bank will process the transactions, notifying the originators of the change in bank name and routing number. It may also be necessary for you, as the account holder, to contact the originator of the automated transactions. We will provide you with the necessary information.

Lobby: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Most locations have Drive Thru hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. With the exception of Statesboro Brannen St. and Gray locations that also offer Saturday hours of 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
I currently have deposits at both Vallant Bank and Morris Bank. Will my FDIC coverage increase during the merger?
When two or more insured banks merge, deposits from the assumed bank are separately insured from deposits at the assuming bank for at least six months after the merger. This grace period gives a depositor the opportunity to restructure his or her accounts, if necessary. CDs from the assumed bank are separately insured until the earliest maturity date after the end of the six-month grace period. CDs that mature during the six-month period and are renewed for the same term and in the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest) continue to be separately insured until the first maturity date after the six-month period. If a CD matures during the six-month grace period and is renewed on any other basis, it would be separately insured only until the end of the six-month grace period.
When will I receive my first Vallant Bank statement?
You will have a special Morris statement provided on Friday, June 12, after the end of the business day. The next statement you receive will be your Vallant Bank statement.
